Léopold Sédar Senghor: Philosopher of African Art
Léopold Sédar Senghor was one of the greatest French-language poets of his time and a co-creator of the concept of Negritude, defined as a literary and artistic expression of the African experience. Souleymane Bachir Diagne, Professor of Philosophy and Religion at Northwestern University who is currently writing a book about Senghor, will discuss the Senegalese poet and statesman.
